Introducing the Pneumatic Elevator

The newest residential home elevator is now
making its debut in Texas. The free-standing Pneumatic Elevator uses suction power to
move the car up to 4 floors and comes in 3 sizes;
30 in. diameter, 37 in. diameter, and 52 in.
diameter. This revolutionary new drive
technology is the first of its kind in the elevator industry and has just been approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for installation in Texas homes.
Eco Friendly
Suction turbines power the unit. When the car
descends, no driving force is required as the air valves simply regulate air into the upper chamber. Because
of this, only a minute amount of electricity (for the controller electronics) is used when the car is descending. No moving parts means no need for oils or lubrication.
Elegant
Powder-coated aluminum frames available in different colors and curved polycarbonate panels create a
360 degree view. The unit is free-standing, making it
a stunning addition to any room.
Safe
Safety features include a locking mechanism that will
stop the car within 2 inches if suction is lost or overspeed
somehow occurs. The curved polycarbonate panels
making up the elevator hoistway are shatter-proof. A
phone is located in the cab in case the passenger needs
assistance. Electrical/mechanical door interlocks insure
that the doors stay locked shut while the car is away from
the landings and prohibit the car from moving if a door is
open. An in-car stop switch is included as well as an escape
hatch and rope ladder under the car platform. A traditional
elevator uses cables and dangerous rotating sheaves in the machinery space above the elevator (usually the attic). The Pneumatic Elevator uses an enclosed machine box at the top of the shaft or a remote location which houses suction turbines.
An Installation Like No Other
The Pneumatic Elevator is a free-standing unit. No enclosed elevator shaft is required which allows for seamless integration into existing construction. Also, the unit sits flush on the floor requiring no excavated pit. All loads are channeled to the floor, so there are no structural requirements in the attic. This also makes the entire elevator portable. The machine box containing the motors and the controller can be located directly on top of the unit or in a remote location using a 4 in. PVC pipe to connect it to the top of the hoistway. Electrical requirements: 220VAC single phase. A traditional elevator may require weeks to install. The Pneumatic Elevator installs in days.
